“White Logistics” Movement
A Voluntary Action Declaration for Achieving Sustainable Logistics
The 2nd RETAILING Group endorses the purpose of the White Logistics movement promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and has submitted a voluntary action declaration.
We work to improve logistics based on mutual understanding and cooperation between business partners and logistics companies, as we aim to improve the productivity and efficiency of logistics and achieve a workplace environment where everyone is able to work to the best of their ability.
By actively utilizing shared delivery and making cargo handling operations during collection and delivery more efficient, we strive to reduce our environmental impact and build a sustainable logistics system.
The voluntary action declaration of the 2nd RETAILING Group is outlined below.

| Improvement Proposals and Cooperation in Logistics | We propose route design considering transportation and delivery efficiency, the use of shared delivery, and the staggering of delivery time slots. In addition, by operating delivery and reception rules tailored to the storefront conditions of logistics bases and stores, we aim to improve the working environment and reduce waiting times. When transportation companies request the rationalization of incidental work, we will consult in good faith and proactively make our own proposals. |
| Utilization of Pallets and Other Cargo Handling Equipment | When collecting and delivering cargo, we proactively use pallets and other cargo handling equipment such as roll containers, in order to reduce work times and reduce the physical toll of labor for improved efficiency. |
| Advance Provision of Shipping and Receiving Information by Shippers | We share forecast box quantities and confirmed post-packaging information in a timely manner to help transportation companies secure drivers and vehicles and improve dispatch efficiency. |
| Promoting the Documentation of Transportation Contracts | We ensure the documentation of transportation contracts that we enter. When cargo handling work is required in the upstream and downstream processes of transportation and delivery, we indicate so in the documentation. |
| Considering Legal Compliance when Selecting Parties to Enter Contracts with | When selecting logistics operators to enter a contract with, we consider their compliance with relevant laws. |
| Cancelation or Delay due to Abnormal Weather | When abnormal weather is expected or an earthquake has caused damage, we do not force companies to conduct transportation. We consider the safety of transporters and respect the decisions made by transportation companies. |
